Date: Wednesday, August 12, 2026

Location: Winnipeg

Substance Sold As: Hydromorphone/Dilaudid/“Dillys”

Visual Description: Round white tablet, “DID” on one side and “8” on the other side.

White round tablets marked with “DID” on one side and “8” on the other were brought to Nine Circles on July 31 for testing prior to use.

Local FTIR results were inconclusive. Test strips were positive for fentanyl. A sample was sent to Health Canada Drug Analysis service for confirmation, which found para-fluorofentanyl and a fentanyl precursor.

Para-fluorofentanyl is a synthetic opioid that was never intended for human use. It is considered to be about 100x stronger than morphine.
