Visual Description: Crystals

Crystals sold as METH were tested at MOPS on the FTIR machine. Contained no meth; did 45% sodium azide, a substance that is highly poisonous and can be fatal if it is inhaled or ingested.

It also contained 31% sheet moulding compound, a type of industrial fiberglass material.

FTIR Results:

45.5% Sodium azide
31.1% Sheet Molding Compound (SMC)
11.9% 4,4’ (P-PHENYLENE) BIS (3.5-DIMENTHYLISOXAZOLE)
11.5% N-FORMYL-L-LEUCINE

NOTE: When seasons change, there tends to be an uptick in drug toxicity events, and this fall is no exception. Please use extra caution when using substances and make sure you have naloxone on hand.
