Bright green rocky substance sold as DOWN. Tested on FTIR and found it contained no drugs, only filler substances, some acutely toxic. One person died after smoking it.

Sample was brought to the Mobile Overdose Prevention Site for testing by a community member who witnessed their friend experience a drug poisoning event leading to death after smoking it.

Down is usually expected to contain opioids; none were present. FTIR results showed a number of different toxic filler substances that are very hazardous if inhaled, swallowed or in contact with skin.
