Drug Alert: Regina — Thu. September 25, 2025

Date: Thursday, September 25, 2025
Location: Regina

Substance Sold As: Cannabis (marijuana)
Visual description: Dried cannabis flower with blue-white powder/chunks on it

Cannabis purchased from an unregulated source tested positive for fentanyl and benzodiazepines.

Naloxone can reverse the effects of fentanyl but NOT benzodiazepines.

Combining opioids like fentanyl with benzos increases the risk of complex overdose and death. The risk is even higher for people without any opioid tolerance.
