Substances sold as COCAINE contained mostly levamisole, a veterinary de-worming medication.
Client brought samples to Nine Circles in Winnipeg on Sept. 22, reporting people getting sick and developing skin lesions after use.
Local FTIR results showed high levels of levamisole, a substance commonly used to cut cocaine
Health Canada Drug Analysis Service results:
Sample 1: 87% levamisole, 9% cocaine
Sample 2: 70% levamisole, 20% cocaine
