Drug Alert: WINNIPEG — Friday, January 20, 2023
This week, doctors at Health Sciences Centre have used naloxone to reverse several severe overdoses in people who thought they were using meth.
This means that the drugs they took contained opioids without them knowing.
One individual required 30 ampoules of naloxone to be revived.
If you are using drugs, please:
Use with a friend
Start low and go slow
Carry and know how to use naloxone
If you are using alone, consider calling a friend or the NORS line at 1-888-688-NORS so they can spot you
